Default Saw my first "Assassin" cooker up close yesterday--Impressed!.

I stopped by the Dothan, AL FBA contest yesterday to visit friends.
One of them had a pair of shiny new Assassins on the tailgate/ramp.
He previously had another brand of gravity feed cooker, which will remain nameless.
I asked him why Assassin was better for him.

Square shelves. He was happy to be able to rotate shelves at will and said he no longer had to put the meat on laying in a certain direction.
Huge shelves. Looked like each would hold a pair of aluminum pans if one was so inclined, although I forgot to ask specifically.
Interior shelving stuff was removable for easy cleaning.
Said the latching mechanism was a huge improvement.
He had some other observations about the grease drain system and stuff which I did not understand, but he said that the unit was far superior to his previous ones in almost every way.

For my part, I was totally taken aback by the build quality.
What I call "fit and finish".
Welds were ground and filled.
Metal was straight as can be and the door and chute lid fit and sealed perfectly.
Heavy duty hinges and latches that obviously could do the job.
Finish was beautiful with deep colors and smooth as a baby's butt.
Basically, I saw nowhere that they cut quality-all 1st Class work.

I am a pellet guy and not knowledgeable on the gravity feed cooker market at all.
But if I was to ever consider a gravity feed, I would look hard at this brand.

Just thought I would pass my observations on to anyone shopping.
May be something to look and and compare to the rest of the market.

TIM

ps. I know nothing about them beyond what I wrote above.
