I went camping last week. Used my little charcoal cooker for most meals. (campfires were not allowed)

Spares with SM Season All...

smoked for 3 hours... (turned and rotated several times while cooking)

foiled for 1 hour with beef stock, onion and granulated garlic...

watched for pull back on the bone. I'm not fond of "fall of the bone" ribs... I like a little bit of a bite.

heated pot of beans with bacon, onion and spices..

This was the first time I did spares on this cooker. It worked pretty well, I added a few hot coals one time during the 5 hr cook.

The week of camping was fun. :grin:

That looks like a cool cook Jeanie, and a classic camp meal.
 
Looks awesome Jeanie!! For some reason camp food always tastes better, at least for me it does. I guess it has something to do with the atmosphere or just a change from the norm. Cheers!!!
 
Wow, great view, great food, I need a vacation - a problem since I recently got back from mine.
Wondering about your camping BBQ? Who makes it? My smokey joe seems pretty small right now.

Thank you Burnt! I need to go again too. :)
The grill was made by a friend, it was a gift. I really like it but it's almost too heavy for me to move around.
This trip I used the heck out of it and really liked how it performed.

What is that green vegetable, is that a pickled___?..looks almost like okra?
