just a term of endearment for anyone working at the pit at the time.

If you make the Jack, I will definitely see about coming down to help out, be abused, etc.

Do I have enough tenure to be pit bitch/ gopher at the Royal? Was planning to be there as a spectator anyhow....

A question: What does a volunteer have to do/bring on the day of??
I read watq? blog, to bring beer, eats etc. Is money expected. Or is meat expected?? I am ignorant/naive on what to do.

For the experience you would get, bring all of the above.

Welllllll, I hope they like kielbasa and Tyskie beer. maybe my chipotle wings.....hmm......thanks txschutte

All that stuff would be worked out with the individual teams prior to the event. There are alot of dependencies that change from place to place and team to team.

when you hang with us all that is expected of you is that you drink alot of beer and eat alot of food

Love the turtles manning the parimeter. Great job on the trailer Poob.

Last year, I volunteered to help out Hawgsnheifers with competing at Osage City.
I decided that I would bring everything I needed to compete on my own and I was able to provide some items that Todd was missing - like some supper for us and beer for visitors Friday night and breakfast and coffee Saturday morning.
It's a small price to pay for the experience, you're right.
