Has anyone else had experience with this product?

I only got a 14 hour burn in a 22.5 WSM. And tons of ash.

I haven't used that specific brand, but you will always get more ash from briquettes than from lump charcoal.

..

Ok, let me get this straight, you filed you WSM with 40 lb of RO Chef Select and it only went 14 hrs and you got a lot of ash? 40 lbs of Briquettes make a lot of ash. 14 hrs on say 8-10 lb is about average on any pit. if that is the case IMO you got your moneys worth. I'm not a big proponent of designer bbq fuel. Lump is the way to go.

I don't think I used 1/3 of the bag. No where near the full bag. I believe my basket in my UDS is larger capacity.

So you used 8-9 lb and got a 14 hr cook I'd call that good.

It gets worse, I started it up, went to dinner and loaded after dinner. At least 18 hours good cook time! Call me drifty !

Used this brand a lot. Had someone bring me about 20 bags from meadowcreek in Pennsylvania. went through those and now the cost of shipping is why I had to go to a different brand. Wish I had 20 more.

I didn't know you could get 14hr burns on a 22".

My only complaint was when the briquettes were larger and didn't think it burned as hot as other brands.
