Spatchcocked a chicken and cooked it in the center of the EX6 with no drip pan. Set temp was 300 using Lumberjack Char Hickory. Turned out pretty good. At 300 it looks like pretty much all the grease drippings evaporate before they have a chance to get to the bottom of the barrel.

Thanks,

Looks great, L 'N B Gold Star is my go to for whole bird, how many pounds of pellets were needed for this cook?

Looks great! You keep turning out great looking food on a cooker that is apparently unusable. Nice work!

A wise man once said "take care of your bodies, take care of your chicken, take care of your mentals" and it looks like you are doing just that. Good to see.

It's to dark out now but I will post a pic of the inside of the grill tomorrow to show the ash and grease buildup.

Really nice bird! Since you have the only working Smoke Fire please add the below to every cook log...

1. Weight of pellets before & after
2. Exact cook time
3. Pics of the grease & ash
4. Cook temp, ambient temp and wind speed
5. Frequency of pellet stirring

I was joking but then I thought we're gonna ask anyway so you might as well include it in your first post. [emoji22]
