For new non-subscribed members

eight inches of snot

I accept the challenge. I was going to buy a subscription anyways due to the fact I have gleaned a great deal of knowledge from this page already.

This may just be my lucky day.
Actually it is the wifes birthday today and she got a new bradley smoker for her present. She is very excited, since it will be replacing a very old
LCS......that she calls something else I should not post here at this time.

The generosity of everyone at this site is nothing less than astounding. I wonder that you only have 14,000 members. Keep this up and that number is likely to sky-rocket exponentially!

Wow... awesome work guys. Looks like it's gonna be a snotty Christmas...

Just thinking about it now, but can you imagine how crazy it's gonna be when cabin fever kicks in this year with the site growing so much! :thumb:

Cheers

Heck, I remember when the membership was some where between 2,500 and 3,000 and we thought that was huge!

Ya know... it's funny you should mention that. About 10 seconds after I posted my question, I did some soul-searching and started to wonder about the whole screen-name thing. And, I have pretty much decided I was hoping my check would reach one of the psychic moderators.

I guess it's time to find a mod.

Well by the looks of your beer, they found it! lol :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

Well, as stated "nothing to lose" so.....Eight Inches of Snot! Bandit, thank you for putting your $$ out in the open.

Thanks for the kind words guys! I will NEVER pass up a plate! HA!

A bump so everyone has a chance to see this.

Time is running out.

Reading a few of the posts, I am not sure everyone understands the requirments.
Some new members have indicated that they are "IN", but did not include the obligatory statement. Part of our Heritage.
Without it, you are "OUT"--so review your posts. :-D

Good luck to all.

Wow! That's just crazy impressive. I want to say thank you to the golden-hearted donor, whoever he/she is, and to The Kap'n, and BBQ Bandit for doing this. This just proves how much you care about this site and it's future. I am so proud to be rubbing elbows with you people. If I don't win one of these subscriptions, the first thing I'm gonna up and do is subscribe on my own. I mean, I was going to anyway, but after this... how could ya not? Wow. :hail:

I'll tell you, this is a great group of people. Not only with this subscription drive, but also with their time and talents. As an example, check out some of the following threads...

Not to mention the fact that they do a couple of "Small" cooks for the troops...

Here's a secret... it doesn't require a cooker to care about your fellow man or woman.
All you need is a moment to care... and we'll help you with the rest.

This place means something to us... to hang out, and help each other when asked.
Its truly a Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Smoke.

Yes, I've come to see that the Brethren are a truly amazing bunch of folks here on this site. I love the idea of doing the cook for the benefit of the community and the soldiers. Sounds like a testosterone festival, though. Do you ever do any of these where the ladies are welcome? It's an 8-hour drive from here to Dayton, according to google, and that would mean a 9+-hour drive in my rig, but I would love to attend, if only to learn about the Q-ing and help out whatever way you'd let me.

Lurked all weekend and finally get to post, lots of good information here.
Oh, and "eight inches of snot"
