Hello folks
Just ran into this at HEB plus here in Leander. Never seen it as they mostly sale Lyfe tyme. This one said all season feeders i believe. Thought it was nice, 3/16" build, precise cuts and fit and some extras

Extras
-Ash tray fitted to the bottom with a nice handle
-exhaust at grate level
-4 dampers/tuning plates under grates
-sliding top racks

For the cost, I like it a lot.

Tuning plates may limit amount of proper smoke flow

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I am seriously considering this rig for myself. Anyone have any more insight? I think I can do eight briskets in this...

Since posting, I have seen them along with a different brand at buccees. They aren't 1/4" steel and much higher prices than the academy smokers. Buccees in bastrop sells a nice smoker now that looks like a lyfe tyme. I would definitely keep looking at Craig's list if I had this cash amount to blow. ..tons of folks down here in Tx trying to get rid of smokers

Hi all.... I know this is a REALLY old post but I just bought this smoker a month ago.... I LOVE IT. It took a little time to get setup but it Cadillac's now. I can bring it up to temp and it holds it with no issues.

It's allot of metal to get hot but once it is up to temp it holds it really well. Made deer sausage last weekend and stuffed them in 6" pcs. Put 150 sticks on the 4 racks and cooked them to perfection.

Highly recommend it for the price.

It's 3/16th...not 1/4 inch.

So, did you get it at 20% off during their sale ?

They are still 10% off until the 16th i believe...

Great looking rig....

I'm very close to pulling the trigger at the steel company and making my own very similar....but without the middle section.

How was the heat/fire management on it? Did it hold well ?
