Butts vs Picnics?

Everyone always talking about Butts but I actually prefer Picnics- they have stronger Taste to me. :loco:
 
Picnic for me too. Seems to have more internal fat.

I have one in the freezer I need to make VERY soon.
 
Picnic always cheaper here.
 
Never seen a picnic at my Kroger and never tried one that I know of...I'm a butt man :wink:
 
Picnics have been on sale at my local HEB for about a month now. $1.00/lb, non enhanced by the cryo bag. Nothing goes to waste, the skin gets rendered into lard for cooking, the bone is given to the dog, and the meat is well.. eaten. I also prefer the flavor of picnics by a small margin. I've cooked about 10 of them over the past couple of months, including 2 huge 9.5 lb'ers for a thanksgiving day feast. The pulled pork was gone way before the turkey lol.
 
I like big butts and I can not lie....

Totally a butt man here, you can keep those picnics.
 
I like butts for large gatherings and shoulders for small me mom dad and the girlfriend cooks. I think the meat looks better also.
