How does it crack your flagstone? :twitch: Weight? Heat? Can't be enough weight so I'm guessing heat. I'm surprised that your WSM gives off enough heat to crack flagstone. The newer ones have a heat shield between bowl and floor. Maybe you could adapt one of those to your WSM. (I'm presuming yours does not have one since it is cracking your flagstone.)
 
Don't know about cracking, but just to contain any possible mess to the patio I park the smoker on one of those metal oil-drip pans from Auto Zone. About 8 bucks.

That's most likely an old trick for this bunch, but it seemed like a good idea after smoking two 7# pork shoulders at the same time produced a little too much "overflow".
