After a year of a UDSless backyard, I finally got a new one. My dad's old one finally bit the dust a year ago and after that I ended up with my offset. Which I liked, sorta. Was just never as good as the old UDS.

Back in October I met a guy at a comp that built and sold UDSs in the local area. He has since then become a friend and he has hooked me up with one of his rigs built to my specs. The price was right too, being not much more than it would've cost me to build my own. Built from all new parts including a brand new unlined drum, and painted with black engine block paint.

I'm stoked :)wink:) to get her fired up and to do a long arse smoke with a nice fat pork butt.

Here she is sittin' pretty on the back patio, joined by the PBC.

P.S. Don't pay any mind to the POS gasser in the background. All she does now-a-days is take up space!

Nice drum,Your supposed to say the gasser belongs to SWMBO. Like when you got caught on a girls bike when you whee 10 "it's my sisters"

Nice looking cooker ya got there! No shame in a gasser, I use mine to light my chimney charcoal starter. We find ourselves grilling chicken breast for lunch sometimes and I can get it done in 5 minutes in my gasser. The wifey uses it mostly though.

Looks awesome, now just point it towards North East South-Carolina fire it up and season it, then permanently turn it 180 degrees the other way and start enjoying the Q

Crap that should be South East North-Carolina

I still have yet to see one in person - I am curious as it seem like a UDS would be good in the backyard.
