 Has any one had to change their thermapen battery? I dont want
to be at a tournament and have one go dead. How long will they last?

I have changed mine once in a couple of years. It shouldn't matter how long it lasts you should always have a spare battery.

Just for your worry is why before the first contest every year I change the batteries on both thermos, atomic clock, and flash lights.

The new splash-proof model battery has a 1500 hour life if that is of any help.

A two pack of them only costs $4 though so why not carry a spare or two?

My original one is on it's first battery and I think it's about 4 years old. That said, I always carry a spare battery and a spare thermapen.
Can't have a BLUE one without an ORANGE one. :becky:

I'm on my 3rd in 3 years...:p...I use it a LOT...:thumb:

Buy and extra one... they're on sale now for $79. :thumb:

Mine seems to die in the middle of a comp every year. After the first time I usually keep a spare battery with me now.

Rub, Glad to hear your an Illini fan....I had no idea.

It's a little known fact that Illini is a Latin term for "I wish I lived on the other side of that big, muddy river."

Of course I have a red thermopen which besides being the most fastest and mostest accuratest, it also comes with an extra extra longest lastingest battery.
