I have seen a lot of pork loins posted around the net lately, so figured I would give it a shot. I went with a little island flavor tonight. Added a little black beans and rice then topped with some crispy fried plantains.

Please, a few more details about seasoning, time, temp, and what not. Very nice pics.

Pretty plate! I'd like to have some of that myself.

Wow that looks great!

I just bought a pork loin, have never smoked one, so some details regarding time and treatment of that beauty would be greatly appreciated.

I started with a little rub of B sugar, cayennne nutmeg, cloves, allspice, ginger, and some lemon pepper. Put it on the BDS at 250 with a mix of hickory and apricot wood for flavor.. It didn't take as long as I expected. Only 1 1/2 hours to reach 148*. I started mopping after about 45 minutes with a mixture of dark rum and allspice and a some b sugar and a few other things I can't remember. I have it at home. Just added whatever looked good in the spice cabinet.
