weber OTG upgrade?

so ive been thinking for a while about building a cart for my OTS the home brew weber performer thread http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64834 has me REALLY thinking about it, the one thing that really kinda creeps me out about it is the one touch silver ash catcher, i currently have a bucket under the OTS not the standard ash catcher. but i was wondering is it possible to add the OTG ash catcher, as it is a bit more contained?

I know that others have done it. Here is an alternative I use with a daisy wheel kettle. It is supported be an X formed from chain.

I believe the ring and ash bucket will cost about $50 from Weber.

It's pretty easy to install, and will make a world of difference.

I turned my OTS into an OTG. You can get the ash bucket on amazon for $35 buck +shipping. Best thing I ever did.. no more dogs eating that delicious grease covered ash!

I just upgraded my copper OTS to a OTG last week. Took the parts from a decent OTG I scored off craigslist for $20.
