Warning not UL approved - Do not try this at home

I had this grill for a few years- I hated that it never got hot enough so...
Took off regulator and added a 10PSI adjustable regulator and drilled out the gas orifice. No problem with heat now!

I used to have one of those overpriced table models, I will agree, it didn't put out that much heat. Wished I saw this before getting rid of it.
 
i hope you don't cook on it that way. hows the paint holding up ?
and the body ? and the plastic legs ? they will melt at that kind of temps.
 
I Did the adjustable regulator also. What a a difference, no problem with whatever heat I need!!
 
Mine cooks the odd burger and brat just fine. What does it not get hot enough for you to do?
 
Are you talking about drilling out the gas holes? What size did you use? That's definitely a turbo charged grill now! Where can I get the regulator? I know... This thread is super old but any input is appreciated!
