Some Gumbo for a wet, chilly day...

Fark!!! That looks outstanding! Did ya hit it with a few squirts of hot sauce? I so love okra!!!

Bob

I overdid the cayenne just enough that, after a few tastes, I didn't feel the need to add any hot sauce.

that looks awesome. will have to go that route next time. don't know whats more exciting, cold weather food, or the cold, wet, gray day.

That looks like some kick arse gumbo CD. :thumb:

I made some Gumbo the other day too. I though it was farking awesome, although at the time I didn't realize I was farking it up since I poured it over the rice. Live an learn I guess.

A friend recently brought over some gumbo that was farking awesome, then my SIL made some pretty good stuff as well. Looks like I'll go next. :hungry:

Great work on the cook and the pix! :clap2:

Musta just been Gumbo Sunday cause I made a pot too! Chicken, sausage (didn't have andouille but I had some extra hot beef links) and shrimp. No okra in the house. Oh well. Still made a tasty pot. I use the fat from the sausages along with some butter and oil to make the roux.

Here's a pic. It is better the second day!

Yes, leftover gumbo is good stuff. The flavors continue to blend.
