Not too long before sunset on Sunday I happened to come across the posting for this week’s TD, and I figured “How can I not throw my hat in the ring on this one?” I ran off to the store, grabbed a couple birds and went to “work”.
Nothing fancy here today. In fact, my preparation was very similar to that featured in this video: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9n3tW4qRNsI"]No Fuss, No Truss Rotisserie Chicken - YouTube[/ame] with the only mods being the scenery, and the use of a Weber Kickin’ Chicken rub on birdie #1 and lemon pepper seasoning on birdie #2. Wood used was pecan and oak.
When I went to plate it, I was going to try for some sort of sexually suggestive pose,
but the meat was so tender that when I went to take the second chicken off, one of the legs fell off...
which makes for something sexually suggestive but only for very twisted extreme types. Which left me in a conundrum. When I tried to pick up the other bird to place it on top of the first for a different pose, more parts fell off. In fact, everything I tried to lift fell off. It was like leper orgy gone wrong!
In the end, I couldn’t place it in any way that looked even slightly photogenic. So I guess I am going to have to go back to a pre-plated photo as my entry shot:
Thanks for looking!
