I didn't know Brenham was having a Competition or I would have made plans to visit and enjoy the aroma......... like always a day late and a dollar short :(

Yeah man you shoulda stopped by. We had a great time. There were lots of people jaw jappin to me before the cookoff. I heard it all, "your reign is over!" "You at a big sanction now boy, you ain't gonna do squat" etc etc. Just smiled every time at em on my walk up to get the $$$$ and the trophy. It's funny to me because years ago, we used to get our ass stomped and we still had a good time during and afterwards, but these guys wouldn't even talk to us anymore. When something like this happens to them you can definitely figure out the "loosers" and the ones that "just happened to loose". The dance was fun. My BBQ mentor Jason got 1st ribs, 5th brisket and 6th chicken RGC. Just can't seem to beat this clown in ribs lol!

Glad things turned out well for you all. Keep me informed of upcoming competitions just so I can visit the show. I live in the Tomball area so as long as it isn't too far I will make the trip and enjoy the aroma :)

Great Job!! I love the trophies! They'd look better if they were Coors Light bottles though. lol

Whatever! Miller light buddy!
Next year I'm gonna have to invite some of the TX brethren out. Would like to put a face to s/n's.
