Got some Pron that I forgot to post. Last week's weather was still hot here, but the need to fire something up was too much. A cook-fast one here, flat iron steak, marinated in a dark top-fermented belgium porter called "Poorter", garlic and packaged mix. Added some squash, zuchinni, bell peppers and onions, turned out pretty good...Enjoy !

I'd hit that twice!

I've had that beer before, very nice. Kept the bottle for a vase.

What cut of meat is a flat iron? That looks awesome!

Its from the shoulder area. You cook it at high heat, about 5 mins per side to medium rare. Slice it like you would a brisket, comes out very tender. If there are leftovers, I eat it the next day cold tossed in a salad with balsamic vinaigrette, its awesome!:thumb:

Looks awesome from here :) I opened this thread thinking I was gonna see a cast iron pan-seared steak :)

Nice job! The salad idea sounds great too. I'm really liking the flat iron steak (right after rib eye). I usually have some left over and make a hash the next day. I think it's almost as good the second day as the first.
