I am a very old fashioned kind of person. I like making things completely from scratch and will only open a dreaded box or can if the wife makes me. Below are a few of my goods...fresh baked hamburger buns, pulled pork sandwich with a mustard vinegar slaw, and a load of brisket and butts for a wedding.

looks good. I am building a 120gallon RF and can't wait till I can load it up like that.

Old fashioned my A#%, thats good cookin the way it should be done! And the new cooker looks awsome, are you gonna do reverse flow? Lets see the build pics when it happens.

Brings back memories of my Grandmother baking homemade buns and bread.............
Thanks

Those are some of the hottest buns I have laid my eyes on

Pulled pork with a mustard vinegar slaw on one of those hamburger buns looks and sounds pretty fantastic right about now. Love it! :hungry:

I want a dozed of those rolls please...

And the Q looks good too.

Well, the buns probably would be smashed and lost by USPS so sending you a dozen probably isn't possible but this is:

1 Cup Milk warmed to 90-100 degrees
1 Packet Yeast dissolved in...
1/4 cup warm 90-100 degree water
1/4 cup room temp. butter
3 TBS sugar
1 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
1 Egg, room temp.
~3 1/2 cups flour

1. Disolve packet of yeast in warm water ~5 minutes
2. While yeast is disolving heat up milk and add all ingredients but 1/2 cup flour to either a mixing bowl or bowl of stand mixer.
3. Add yeast and water to bowl. If using a stand mixer mix on low speed with dough hook for about 5 minutes. If doing in a mixing bowl, mix by hand.
4. Dough should pull away from bowl and not stick, add flour as needed until it is no longer sticking to the sides of the bowl. Knead until it is smooth and elastic. (If dough is ready you should be able to take a small pinch if it and stretch it out until it is paper thin and see through.
5. Set dough in greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place about 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
6. Punch down dough and portion into 3 oz. balls (makes ~8). Let dough rest 5 minutes after portioning. Line an 11 X 17 pan with butter.
7. Roll dough between the palm of your hand and the counter until you have a nice smooth ball. Place dough evenly spaced 2 wide X 4 long in the pan.
8. Cover pan with wax or parchment paper and let rise again 1-1 1/2 hours.
9. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
10. Bake 15-20 minutes or until desired color is reached.
11. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes on a wire rack and brush with melted butter. Lightly sprinkle kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper on buns.

Great looking recipe, kyle. Absolutely gonna try this. Thanks!
