His daughter is running the show now. I noticed the same older guy Was around who seemed to run things even when Butch was alive.

Thier ribs were a lot better than last year. Last year they sucked! But it was her first year without her dad. When butch was alive his ribs were worth going for by themselves. I was lucky enough to get a picture of Butch with my wife a couple months before he died.

We were there (Downbeach Barbecue). While we didn't even come close to getting a call we are REALLY happy with the results (our first ever comp). I just wanted to avoid the dead ass last place so often mentioned :biggrin1:

On a side note....it's INCREDIBLE how nice the other teams are, especially to the newbies like us. When we got our stuff set up I really felt like a deer in the headlights....but received a TON of help from the other teams I can't thank them enough....

Sitting here recovering on the beach We had a great time again this year. Congrats to all our Delaware brethren with 3 in the top ten. Congrats to Finns Finest and gonehoggin filling out the top 2 spots and our good friends Pigheaded pulling in at 7th place. Congrats to all that walked.

We had a great time there as well, and not a bad finish for us(top 2/3). Not only our first event but it was the first time we use our new double barrel smoker. And thanks to our neighboring teams, Gonehoggin and Shady Crew, who helped us with any questions we had.

A big congrats to our friends Megan & Ferg of Finns Finest for their 1st GC. Not only great cooks, but great friends and bbq neighbors as well. Also want to send congrats to another friend Paul of Gone Hoggin for his RGC. We were on Delaware Row with 4 teams from that state. Great being next to Slower Lower, as usual. Congrats again.
