Hello

So after reading Atlanta has USDA Prime brisket at Costco now on the below thread, I called around the meat managers and store managers in the Northern NJ area. I asked if they could now get them to which I go a resounding no. But after emploring then to please call their buyer I got confirmation they are in fact available at the Costco Business Centers but under a different item number. The item number you can find them at in NJ is 22578 and there are currently 78 units at the Hackensack store. I’m for one very excited!!!

Special thanks to BrewPug for posting the item number for the Atlanta item and to Rick in the Teterboro Costco.

Thanks
Sam

PS damn you Apple and your autocorrect. If any of the admins can please fix the title to read brisket I’d appreciate it.

Prime Brisket

Hi Sam When are going to Costco for the prime briskets..Price?
Thanks Dan

It think the price is $2.99 or $3.49 a pound. I have to get through the 4 briskets I have before I go buy some.

Bummer!!!! I was ready to try some prime brisket!!!
Let me know when your ready to go.
Thanks Dan
PS Do you know "IF" they have them In Teterboro also.

We have them in Richmond Virginia in the West Broad Street location...I’ve bought several, all turned out great and 2.99 per pound!

Just saw full packers here in the Elkridge MD Costco for the first time in over 5 years. At 2.99 per pound I bought 3. Hoping they weren’t a mistake. They seemed really fatty.
But for that price, I couldn’t say no. Fingers crossed. Anyone else find that the Costco briskets were exceptionally fatty?

My experience with them is they definitely need serious trimming.

Just picked up one from Michigan while traveling for Christmas. $2.99 # for prime seemed like a great price. They had pork belly for $2.99 # also.

North NJ Costco

HI All Any one in NNJ going to Costco in Hackensack?
Thanks Dan
PS Would love to pick up a Prime brisket!!!

You could always go there for ribs:-D

I’m pescatarian until orthodox Christmas which is January 7th. No BBQ for me at the moment. I forgot you don’t have a membership. I would have taken you yesterday. I think the business center is closed Sunday and Monday is New Year’s Day so they are closed then too. I believe the business center also closes earlier than the regular Costco’s during the week so work puts a bit of a damper on that. No guarantees but maybe this coming Friday I can try to work from home and take a trip with you?

Ive been cooking them here im the mitten for 2 years. Yes i feel they are more fatty than others. Notice it more on the larger one, smaller 12 lbs'ers aint so bad.

Still a decent value at 2.99 for the meat imo

Been getting them from there since the summer but the price was $3.99. During the winter months I guess they drop the price since the demand is lower.

Love them so much. Picked one up today with diapers and cheese. Gonna get weird....er tomorrow! :-D
