What is a good vaccum sealer to seal Butts?
Looking to get a vaccum sealer and will be sealing
8-10 lb butts. Thanks

Weston Pro 2300.

Order from Amazon.

Search it on the bottom. I know there are multiple threads on this topic.

I too have used the Pro-2300 for several years using about 20 bags a week.

The unit has worked flawlessly without any issue. It is also user serviceable for repairs if they are ever needed and parts are readily available. That was my main reason for buying it.

After blowing through 2 Foodsavers that are unserviceable, it was time to get a real Vac-Sealer and throw out the junk.

Weston also sell refurbished / open box models.. Click here

I bought my foodsaver at Costco. It has crapped out and they replaced it just by showing the receipt.

x3 on the Weston. Works great. Foodsaver - Not so bueno

The Weston large bags will hold 2 whole butts with bone in.

I do seal them whole on occasion, but prefer to pull them and then vac-seal for freezing to use at a later date.

Another Quality Post...

Actually, I have been looking for a foodsaver. There is a good deal going at the Aussie Butcherquip site. I may look into this if there is any chance that my customers will pay me....

Weston Pro 2300 outstanding, after many Foodsavers. No need to rely on Costco.

I've got a Weston Pro 2300 and highly recommend it. Don't waste your money on a throw-away sealer, spend the money once.
