Well, I feel better now! The UDS works better than I figured it would. I fired it up at noon, cooked the ribs...3,2,1 like folk on here says works and everything turned out awesome!

I think I will be ready for the brisket cook off with my sister next weekend!

This was the first time I've ever cooked a rib worth talking about...and believe me they were GOOD!

We had faith! Great Job, and good luck next week in your cook off.

Thanks everyone...the ribs were the best I ever cooked, a little spicey (hot) due to the tony's and cayene but IMO they were good. The wife said they were just a little hot for her taste but ate them...my son, well I had to make him stop eating, we had to do dishes...LOL The boy can eat!

Congrats. No better feeling than when you conquer something! Looks great!

Those ribs look great! You did good. Do some more prartice and go kick your sisters a$$.

LOL, not much time for practice, starting the cook off on Friday night.

She is going to have to cook a mean brisket to even have a chance...LOL

On another note, I'm looking for a good rub for my briskets. My plan is to marinade them in Dr. Pepper, Pomeganate juice, worchestershire, and turbanado sugar.

I was thinking of mixing up
small amount of cayenne
spicy paprika (spanish)
chilli powder
black pepper
salt
onion powder
garlic powder

But thought i'd try some one elses known rub...any idea's
