Congrats to Rhythm 'n QUE, great job against a powerhouse lineup. Also congrats to Jeff, Big Creek BBQ for 3rd. I'm really surprised at some of the names toward the bottom of the list, but with that level of competition someone is gonna be last. It would be interesting to see the scores, and how far apart from first to last was. I would have loved to judge this contest.

Congrats to Vince and Alexa! I sampled the brisket, after it had been sitting out for a while and it was still SOLID! I'm wishing I'd tried the chicken that Alexa offered, but I'd had enough BBQ for the week at that point:wink:

A common theme heard from cooks is that they didn't want to finish DAL. When you look at that field, there would have been NO shame in that:laugh:

When Todd and I talked over the weekend I think we agreed that we'd like a solid finish and one good call. We didn't get the call, but at the end of the day I felt pretty good about everything.

Everybody got all four entries in on time, survived the blast furnace that Oklahoma can be in August, and had a great time.

A big "Thumbs Down" to Mr. Big Creek BBQ for raising the anniversary bar for the rest of us at awards!:p

I am in awe over the lineup from this competition-I'd love to wash dishes & hump water for any of these teams!
 
This was a great contest. A "little" on the warm side. lol! We were honored to be cooking along side all those teams. I wish it would have been cooler so more people would have been out and about.

Congrats Vince & Alexa! It was great meeting you finally. Hope to see you again sometime soon!
