Cold smoking in the snow

It snowed and I am on staycation so why not smoke something. I had bought 20 sea salt grinders at Aldis for $1.75 to give out as gifts to friends and others, like the mail lady and such. 5 hours in mesquite pellet smoke from an amazin maze lit at both end worked great. I tried some on refried beans and it is gives a nice hint of smoke flavor.

If you have not done this before you should give it a try.

That's not gonna happen here in a hurry.
It's 37 degrees here, but that's Celsius :)

Fall and winter are excellent times for cold smoking cheese and butter too. I cut some insulated panels for my Big Chief so I can smoke trout and salmon as well.
