Just entered my first amateur competition on the weekend, finished in 7th place out of 11 teams. Had to cook baby back ribs, not the normal ribs of competition . Was not real framiliar with the baby backs.

Congrats! And, "not the normal ribs of competition" isn't true. It's perhaps not the average for KCBS, but it is more than the average in other sanctioning bodies.
