Babbling Farker
Been busy as all heck all-day, and unable to read the threads or post, but I had to post this.
In my strategy to involve her more into BBQ, I insisted on using an injection AND rub on tomorrow's brisket.
She heemed and hawed about it, and finally agreed.
So I did give her one consolation: I agreed to let her choose the rub.
I happen to have 5 different company's rubs on had, and with 2 of them, I had at least 2 varieties of the types they make.
Example... if we were talking Myron's, you might have a bottle of his hickory, and a bottle of his regular.
So, as I said, I had 5 different company's rubs, and with 2 of those companies, I had at least 2 different varieties.
All in all, she had 11 different rubs to choose from. The only one I normally keep on hand, but happen to be out of, is Brother Dan's (3-EYEZ) rub.
After perusing all 11, she made her selection.
Her favorite: she choose Simply Marvelous Cherry rub
Disclaimer: I don't know how official any of this is... except in our house, that is.
