my parents were given one. it was modified for gas too. its really nice.
 
Other than modding the fire box what else would be recommended?
 
great looking silver smoker, enjoy. do the mods. for the baffle and lowering the exhaust to grill level, good luck. smoke on Bro.:-D:cool:
 
Nice one O-Town. Looks like there will be plenty-o-Que coming out of that one I'm sure. And either you did a fine job of cleaning it up or they took pretty darn good care of it. I have a couple of CL scores I made on Sunday that I'll post up later this evening.
 
Yep that's before they started making it with that goofy two piece firebox.
 
Awesome deal! My buddy just gave me this exact smoker (minus the firebox, which I guess is why he gave it to me for free). I just picked up a firebox from Lowes, which was accidentally marked $20 lower than the lower price, and am currently converting it into a reverse flow smoker. I'm handy with wood and can turn a wrench, but i've never dealt with steel so this project will definitely be an interesting one!
