Question for everyone.

I just returned from our farmers market and picked up several bunches of parsley, some still have the carrots in tact for Saturdays comp and I'm wondering what's the best way to keep it fresh till then.

In the fridge and keep it moist. If you cut a little off the bottom of the stem, and then stand it up in a glass with a little water it should stay a little fresher for you.

I trim the bottoms, wrap them loosely in wet paper towels, and put them a zip-lock bag, then store them in the produce drawer of the frig.

I do what Jorge said. Never had a problem keeping it nice and fresh that way. One time when all there was to find was chitty looking parsley...I did this and it perked it right up...looked better than when I bought it.

Excellent! She suggested I come back just before they close and pick up all I wanted at no charge so at least I can't ruin all of it now.lol

Thank you for the tips guys.

For contests I cut the bottoms and put them in ice water in a cooler. If I am going to have it for a while before the contest I trim a little of the bottom each day and keep them moist and cool.

I ment to say roots not carrots. I have too many things on my mind at the moment.lol
