Well, farkers, I was rummaging in the freezer and found this big ol' slab of spares, so I thought I might as well cook 'em up.

So, I thawed 'em out and cut 'em up St Looie style. Then I got out my stockpot, in with the ribs, cover with water and boiled 'em for an hour and fifteen minutes.

When I took them out they were so tender they were falling apart. Yum.

Then mixed up a nice paste rub with some liquid smoke, some sugar and spices, and gave them a nice coating, while I got the gasser set up for indirect smoking with some nice applewood chips.

Smoked them for 2 hours, basting with Kraft BBQ sauce the last hour.

Man, talk about good, falling off the bone tender, sweet and smoky.

I'll have pron later.

OK, I lied. I didn't boil 'em. And no liquid smoke.

1st pic is the slab before cutting.

2 is the slab after cutting and dusted with my spicy rib rub

3 After smoking for 3 hours on the WSM with apple and charcoal

4 After foiling with squeeze margarine and honey, and sitting in the WSM for 1-1/2 hours, Back on the WSM to glaze with a mixture of Ray's and honey, thinned with a little water

5 Finished

6 Ready to eat

7I sampled a couple, sweet and spicy, nice bite, juicy

Thanks for looking.

Chuck

Whew! I wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want to be insulting, but I'm glad you were joking. Ribs look great, man!

Nice looking ribs. You had me worried when you used the word boiled.

Looks like perfection to me! Nice :fish2: hook to start.

Nice job Chuck!!!!

But the next time I the word boiled it had better be in a sentance kinda like, if I don't invite Mark over for these ribs he's going to have me boiled in oil, used motor oil!!!!!:thumb:

Ribs look fantasic! Good job mate!

Nice one, bro and great looking ribs! :hungry:

Does look good...Most definitely would make a great dinner!! If you foil., no need to boil!
