Big Green Egg advise / Mini egg

What do you guys think of the primo Kamado ?

Hows the Oval XL compared to the large big green egg ?

I seems to have a lot more room, but how about temperature control, cleanup and general quality ?

Thanks,

DM

I own 2 BGE's and am satisfied with mine. But I believe that temp control, cleanup and overall quality is close to the same on either cooker. The oval shape does allow for more cooking room. Primo has recently introduced D shaped heat barriers which perform a similar function as the BGE plate setter. A lot of Primo owners started cooking with BGE's and some folks have one of each brand. Both have guarantee's against breakage and both have good customer support and active forums with cooking tips on ceramic cookers.

Now guess who´s gonna supply you with cold ones ?

Hope to get the chance to meet you there, Ray.

Any more informations on the Amsterdam event ? Thats only 250 miles away and i consider going there
just for event.
Hope it doesnt happen on the same day as the berlin barbecue festival and the german bbq championchips, wich
will both be held in may, too.

Cheers,

DM

The date is June 7th. I don't think there are any details yet but you can find info about the distributor on the BGE site. Wessel is a great guy. Tell him we spoke if you talk with him.
