It was great to see Vinny and family, although very briefly. We had just been seated and they were on their way out. I have to echo what has been said above, that the food at RUB has just been spot on-- I went in excited for ribs and was not disappointed. Burnt ends were just off the charts good...as was the bacon. I enjoyed the frito pie, but they used to have pickled jalapenos and there weren't any in this batch. Our beans were the opposite of Vinny's-- we had a TON of chunks of meat in our beans. It was almost like more of a meat dish than a bean dish. I also don't use much sauce here-- not that their sauces are bad-- since nothing seems to need it.
