BBQ Brethren Throwdown - "Ribs"

Ok it just so happens that I was working on a practice today.

Here is my pic for submission to the throwdown week:

Ok, I'm like Bull..."not to cause problems, but"....how about pork feather bones?

You mean pigs fly now? Go figure!

Do you not have regular ribs to cook?

They are not "ribs", but the part of the vertebrae that sticks out in back.

They have bones and kinda look like ribs though. This one is kinda tough.

Nah, heck, they're not ribs. Nothing to do with the rib cage at all. So not allowed.

So have I alienated everyone yet? Anyone left?

Anyone want to ask about stringing together a bunch of racoon penis bones or anything like that?

Hey if you alienate everyone, Chris, I may just jump in. I may have a chance if I'm the only one to vote on! Only done ribs once or twice years ago on the ECB.

My barber told me his seceret. Boil'em for an hour then give them a spin in the microwave.

Rack of Lamb

I ended up cooking rack of lamb for the first time....and wow! it was delicious!

I will definitely be substituting this for steak more often in the future.

Finishing up on the egg (pulled at 125* or so)

Man i'm ready to cook. Can't now, tonight is drinking night.

Smoked a couple racks of BBs on the UDS today with apple chunks, one with Applewood Smoke rub from Planters Spice Co. in KC and the other with Billy Bones Triple Cherry. Finished the apple spiced rack with Sansonetti Michigan Apple Glaze and the cherry spiced rack with Sansonetti Michigan Cherry BBQ Sauce. My my they were tasty!!!!!!!

My sister just sent me some Pink Stuff, the really good salad dressing from the Pizza Shoppe located in KC. Been eatin' there since high school in 1971. Great dressing, so Chris use pic #4 unless you really think I can win with #2 or #3, lol.
