Just received some HDD from Big Poppa last week, and inspired by Redhots post, had to give it a try on some wings.

Let these sit for a couple hours with a little EVOO mixed in.

Then on the Kettle

Mixed up a little glaze

Coming along nicely

A little direct heat to crisp them up a bit

And the finished product

They were very good with a nice "bite", but not as hot as I had anticipated. I was a little light on the HDD I think, with all the warnings on the label and all:wacko:. The overall flavor was great, just a little more HDD next time.
Thanks for looking,

KC

Looks fan farking tastic! As to the heat, that's why we let them marinate for 48 hours. We're using 1/2 cup HDD and 1/2 cup EVOO for 4 lbs of wing pieces. Give them another dusting right before the cook.

yup, gotta let em sit in the "paste", and then another good ol dusting before cooking. hat'll turn the dial right up.

OK, great info, thanks dequerre. That would certainly be the case, I didn't use nearly that much HDD, I will up the ante next time:flame:.

Thanks
