You can sign-up for the contest online using paypal or credit card. You still need to mail in the signed consent form. Pay structure for KCBS contest will be ALL entry fees, minus a small percentage for KCBS fees.
A few things. NEBS GRILLING ON SATURDAY.
1 - The Grilling rules will be announced shortly, but here is a prelude. Specific rules will be posted here and on the contest website.
It is a NEBS Sanctioned Grilling contest.
Catagorys are
1 - Appetizer
2 - Chefs Choice 1
3 - Chefs Choice 2 <--That is Not a Typo).
4 - Dessert
Prize pool will be ALL of entry fees minus $150 for KCBS fees(unless I can get sponsors). Specific structure TBA.
Entry fee is $50. (55$ if you use paypal or credit card).
THEN...................
The NEBS Grilling winners: Grand Champion, Reserve Grand Champion, 1st Place Chefs Choice 1, First Place Chefs Choice 2 - WILL ADVANCE to a fifth round $500 winner take all shootout. (Ties and/or duplicate winners conditions will be announced in detail). HERES THE CATCH. For the shootout THE 4 WINNERS, will compete against a well known celebrity BBQ chef, known by all and will remain nameless until the contest date. :tape: It is his $500 and you gotta take it from him. :becky:
We will supply the material. 1 protein, 1 starch, 1 veggie. You will have one hour to prepare the dish, all items must be used. You can add anything you want in addition.
Turn in will be open garnish and plating, up to (approx)18x24, family style or portioned.
We will likely be limiting the size of the contest to 30-35. So lets get signed up, we are almost 2 months out.
I am working on sponsorship, so things are subject to change(for the better) if $$ flows in.
