Whew!It was great seeing every one again.I thought it was a well run comp.Congrats to Pork of the North for Grand and Alex for Reserve.I guess I need a little more practice before the next one.It was nice to get a comment card from a judge. As usual the one entry I thought was outstanding was our worst.Time to prep for the next one.

Congratulations all! I agree with Coz, it was a well run contest from my point of view. We had a rough sheet of scores to pour over afterwards, but there's always next time. On to DeForest.

Congratulations go out to all of the teams. My hat's off to those who won. All of the teams and judges were great guests, and we were honored to have you join us in Kingsford. Thank you for your support of our event and our cause. By the way, those of you who joined us will appreciate the fact that I got a sunburn on Sunday during a long day of tear down.....

I want to add my congrats to all who walked! This was a great contest and we are already talking about returning next year.

Coz, it was great seeing you, your wife, and your new 'Pit B@tch' (I can only say that with her out of ear shot)! We had a blast being parked next to you!

Ford, congrats on the great showing! I was also great to see Carol again.

Andy, having your punch once a year is about right... The guys took my last glass away from me when I wasn't looking.... LOL

Walt & T, what can I say, I love ya guys... You'll always hold a special place in my heart!

As usual, the only thing that we thought we did half way decent was pork and brisket. I knew we were screwed, especially with the brisket when Angelo said "ya know, I kinda like this"... Pork ended up in the teens and brisket, while not DAL, wasn't far off of it... None of us could stand the ribs or the chicken and you can see we did better...

This is a very well run contest. If people want to know what cooker friendly means they should come up next year. Great job by Chris, John, Fran and all the volunteers. Super group of people from the area that provided soem great parties starting Thursday evening. Special thanks to Eric for the help running my boxes.

Congrats to Larry/Sue and Alex. They cooked pretty darn good I guess. I thought going into brisket that I had them but the folks sure didn't like my brisket.

Good seeing everybody again.

Congrats to all those that walked. As everyone else has said it was a great run contest and is on my schedule for next year (hopefully the weather will be a little more cooperative). It was great seeing everyone and meeting a few new people. Ford thanks for dinner on Thursday night everything was great.

congrats to Larry /Sue(got me started on Backwoods years ago) and the venerable Dr P--only been to that contest one time and then the dates changed so can't make it back--great people and great hospitality
