I'm kind of new to this whole thing, so I was wondering what you all would say the AVERAGE time for barbecuing ribs is compared to the AVERAGE time for barbecuing chicken thighs...

Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

4-6 hrs for Ribs and 1.5-3 hrs for Yardbird (depending on cooking style and temps)

What kind of ribs??? What temp? St. Louis at about 250 would've be around 6 hours. Baby backs 3.5 to 4. These times assume you have a smoker and can maintain even temps.

My ribs are done in 3.25 hrs flat @275*... when I foil em after 2 hours that is.

3 Hours for St. Louis on my Lang 48 at 250 and 3 hours for whole chickens.

Mine are cooked on different cookers, but I go almost 1 hr 10 min usually on spatchcocked @350. St. Louis are done in 3 hrs usually. Foiled for about 45 min when I get the right color on them.
