Lamb shanks are cheap here at the moment, more a winter comfort food braised.
They are so easy to Smoke and they are very Tasty.
We used a Basic slight Rub.

Weber snake method using Banksia Pods as a smoke flavour.

Shanks seasoned overnight and ready on the weber.temperature was around the 120c/250f mark for the whole cook.

One hour in

Two hour in

Three hour in

Four hour in

Five hours in and in to a pan to hold untill Dinner.
Ready to eat at this stage
In the pan for one hour

Ready to plate

Chew on that bone

Rest of the shanks pulled to make a couple of cottage type pies later.

Cheap tasty easy cook

Thanks for looking

Great looking cook! Can you compare banksia pods to any other wood flavor?

Love braised lamb shanks, and will have to try them on the smoker!

Ditto, I've done braised lamb shanks, but never thought to smoke them. Will have to give it a go when I can find some on sale.
