The BWS Chubby is the BEST Pizza maker in the world. well maybe a bit of an overstatement, but I have used mine for just that purpose many of times.
In NEBS there are the funny thing called grilling contests and sometimes Pizza has been the category. I have used the Chubby and more often than not I have placed in the top two every time.
Get yourself some ceramic floor tiles, unglazed, and line the shelf with them or one large one. You can get the internal chamber to a nice 500 degrees real easily with the proper air flow. I use a Pizza peel for placing it in and taking it out of the chubby. The use of cornmeal on the bottom of the crust is a key to taking it off the peel.
It bakes up just fine, just have to watch it, because it will get away from you if your not careful.
I have make your own pizza parties on my deck for guests and they love it.
