I received a call from a KCBS reb telling me that KCBS had upped their cost to host a competition.
They are adding a $12 per team charge to the promoter that will go to KCBS.
There is already an up front charge of $300 that will now go to the Rep running the contest.
So, if you have 50 teams KCBS draws $900 from the contest.
The promoters are going to have to recoup these costs, so, I'm pretty sure you will see entry costs go up for KCBS sanctioned contests.
I know it will impact the contest I am hosting. I was already having to increase the entry from last year to cover initial costs and make sure the prize money stays up there.
