Looking to get a brisket packer today.
Just trying to compare to other places
When I get back later, I'll list:
Price grade general weight they are carrying

My Walmart only carries flats now for $6.98.

I think last price at restaurant depot in my area was $3.60 for choice. Or my wife's friend works for a food distributor and her cost is $4.00 for choice.

I don't mind paying the extra 40 cents a pound for my friend to get seeing depot is 45 mins away and always real busy. Saves me the hassle.

Two weeks ago it was 4.04/lb for angus and 3.84/lb for non angus choice at RD, $52-$54 for two 13lbers I bought, I cruised over to Wally and got two Excel choice ones for 2.98 or $45 for 15lbers. It's all ridiculous now.

Last night I picked up at HEB a 16.6# whole packer, Prime, $2.78/#. It's on the WSM right now.

HEB has untrimmed Choice for 3.27 lb maket trin as 6.00 lb I got a mis marked ( marked 6 .? actual weight was 12.8 ) choice at Walmart for 2.98

That's about what they are in this area, too.

$3.79/# here is western MA choice

spares are now running $2.49/#

crazy!

2.79 at HEB the other day without a sale. Usually can find choice packers under $2 when the sales hit

I saw this at Sam's and thought it was packer but it says it flat for $6.77 /lb.

The $111 price tag was a little too rich for my weekend cook so I went next door to Walmart and got this one instead for $3.48 /lb for a total of around $47.

That has to be mislabeled. I've never heard of a flat that large
