We had a great time even through the cold and rain.friday nite was pretty brutal.we competed as lang smokers and did not have a good cook at all.my ribs and pork were good turnins but the judges did not agree.had real problems with the brisket as it never got tender until 2 hours after turn in.we have alot to learn and look forward to future comps.tandy and my daughter came along and were my only help.i enjoyed watching movies in the bus with my daughter the most and tandy is doing great with the parsley.congrats to tuffy and all who walked it was an honor to cook with everyone there and the conversations were always colorful.may try shelby next week but after 19 weeks straight I think im gettin burnt out and may just stay at home.
 
Congrads to all!! I was going to drive down and hang out for this one, but got sick.
 
y'all look out for Buttrub !!.. Byron's got his game face back!! Expect to see him towards the top all next year.

Was thinking the same thing....Mark and Moses(Serial Griller out of yorktown,virginia) have been laying some wood as well....
