That looks like it is an older Brinkmann Cimmaron clone made out of 1/4" steel. The firebox is on the opposite side of a Brinkmann, so it's not that, but if you measure the steel and it is 1/4th inch I'd snag it. You really can't find these offset made out of anything but 1/8" steel new for less that 500 bucks these days. Looks like it will need some sandblasting, some high temp paint, and new grates, but that's about it. If you can get it for less than 100 bucks I'd say that would be a good deal once it is cleaned up. He's not gonna want to take it with him. They are heavy as fark. I'd offer 50 bucks up to a 150. I bought mine used for 350 ten years ago and it is a champ. If it is 1/8" steel, don't bother.
