A friend of mine in Florida sent me some Rub that he makes this Kona Rub is terrific

Seared at 600* a side and on a raised grid at 350* for 15-min a side for internal temp. 122*

Served with salad and smashed potatoes. Very tasty

Ross you make the best looking mashed tater I've seen........Oh the steak looks good too..
 
I like brisket, I love a good steak, I like Dino Bones, I like roasts...

But a properly cooked Tri-tip to me is pure bovine eating heaven!

Mark, I have to admit my wife Jackie made those smashed potatoes she put buttermilk, butter, sour cream, butter and chives. It was real good

I'm certainly on-board with this...and tri-tips are less expensive than a good steak.

Phubar,sometimes we are all at a loss for words & that tri-tip will certainly do it. You certainly have an excellent grasp of the language (evidence=smashed).
