My First Ahi Tuna

This was my first attempt at ahi tuna... in fact I've never even tasted it before!
Brethren Big Poppa and friends Scooter, Carter and Tbone gave me some great advice and recipes to try.

I drizzled the tuna with olive oil and let it chill overnight.
Sprinkled with BP's Desert Gold.

Then seared with high heat on the Hasty Bake.

I followed Scooter's suggestion about using the onion dressing and cilantro... Thank you Scooter, I loved it!!

Then I followed Tbone's recipe by wrapping the ahi in lettuce, topping with slaw and drizzling with his orange juice/ginger/garlic/soy sauce...

My brother just called and told me he was leaving some yellow fin tuna in my fridge.

Thanks for the post Jeannie. I get to try some myself. I too have never had fresh tuna. I'm sure I'm the only one who will eat it.
