Stumps clone

I think there is a group called the prairie bbq association (sp?) that has a lot of information including plans and pics of stumps clones.

Tim,Prairie BBQ is the place. Before you even start reading the build threads have a pen and notebook. When I built mine I was taking notes as I read and had several pages of notes to start with. There isnt really a blueprint or a standard material list as we all did them some what different to suit our particular wants or needs. But if your taking notes as you go you will have most of the info before your done reading the threads.I believe theres 2 or 3 in OK.S.Story and Robert C come to mind.I think theres a few more but the ADD isnt letting me remember.

Good guys with lots of knowledge. Lot's of cross overs here.

Praire bbq is an excellent cloners site. hey coz, I'm in the beginning of my build got any suggestions (do and don'ts)

I am fairly local to you. I have 2 complete, and a 3rd about 75% complete (hope to be done next week). You would be welcome to come by and take measurements, etc.

Que Dude,as I have said as you read the threads take lots of notes and figure a lot of hours to accomplish the task.I am on my second one and its going to be a little different than the regular version.Caveman actually has one of this style done and I believe its workin well for him.See the ultimate clone thread at Prairie BBQ he has a few pics and there is a couple of the one I have in process but not done.It should have been done in december but I just have too many projects going. And most of all enjoy the build process.I am a fabricator and I have a hard time getting revved up to do stuff like this at home after doing it 50-60 hours a week but I will tell you that its very relaxing once I do get after it.If you get hung up pm me and I will give you my email addy and I will do whatever I can to help.Coz

Thanks caveman and coz for the help. I might have to take you up on that offer caveman, do you ever do any comps around central missouri.

We don't have anything planned for central Mo. as of right now, but you never know.......

Looks like the prairie BBQ association website is down, I am going to hopefully build a clone this winter and need to start gathering materials.

Looks like the prairie BBQ association website is down

Yeah, and its gone forever, it seems...

"UNFORTUNATELY the Prairie BBQ Association Forum
has ceased to exist. The server that I had been using has just
up and disappeared. So has the over 9 years of information and
contacts disappeared. This was not my doing and I sincerely
apologize for this happening. Way beyond my control."

Quote from Smokin' Jims HP these days

Grrr..... Why the heck I didn't save my collected pics an plans offline... :frusty:

Amen to that, Bro. ;)
And it's not just that forum, there are plenty more missing. All from the same hoster. And no explanation so far....

That really bites. I had already started collecting material for this winter's build.....
