I may have to try this one. It looks really good with the crusties up top. The one i've used lately has a basic roux, cream cheese, shredded cheese of your choice, pimentos, and bacon. I know I take a year off my life everytime I eat it but yeah...
I mince the onions up quite fine and cook them down in the roux, they are not texturally detectable and the flavor is quite smooth and integrated. That being said, if you hate onions, they are there.
Onions cooked down, fried, whatever are about the only way I like them. Not that I like McDonalds food but I could at least tolerate their burgers with the final minced onions...
