The dishwasher is the new crock pot...

I first heard of this steaming method back in the '70s and gave it a try.
Took a couple of specked trout filets, seasoned them as usual, added some lemon slices and tightly wrapped in foil and ran them through a wash cycle by themselves.
The result???... meh.
 
I have one of those efficiency dishwashers. The cycle is over 3 hours long. Somehow I think I'd have mush at the end of the cycle.

Yeah, my Bosch is a high-efficency unit. I have to wonder if it would work.

No thank-you, I can think of many different ways that are safer and easier to sous vide a fish, or any meat for that fact.
 
Back When I was A young Farker I brought home a Bass ...

My Dad was all into wanting to try this out , I Thought he was crazy .

It turned out ok but Bass Isn't all that tasty to begin with.

Tried to talk friends and family to try cooking a fish this way but they would just look at me like I was Coo Coo for CocO Puffs.

I got some Salmon that I might Try this out again for old time sakes.
