James Stephens (Extreme BBQ Trailers) sent me this pic from The Whistle Stop BBQ Competition in Huntsville, AL

Apparently this dude stumbled out of a bar at 2am and decided to sleep in the warm smoker...the team found him at 5am alive...but covered in grease. The other side of the smoker was fired up with the teams pork butts and briskets...WOW!

I would use a Rotisserie on that one and take it to about 165º in the Thigh...

Pathetic that a great competition has turned into a drunkfest and other things.
I have assisted at the American Royal the last 2 years, honestly gotta say that anything is possible.
So sad to the team who was affected by that individual.

I wonder if he's a new fan of low n slow (vs. hot n fast that would've cooked his a**)?

Damn man... that was a rough night... :heh:

Where exactly do you stick the probe to check for doneness? :butt:

I'm just glad he was ok. Nothing like a dead drunck in your cooker to throw you off your game plan. just sayin.
