Getting packed, marinades and sauces made, and ready for another round with Jack's Old South, Woodhouse Grill, and most of Florida's finest.

If you happen to be in the neighborhood of Okeechobee, FL stop by and say hi. It should be a good contest, and probably a wet one.

Good luck!

Stay dry - forecast is not looking good.

Doesn't a rainy forecast come with competition? Good luck and stay dry!

Good luck Kevin and Clara! We'll be seeing you early Saturday morning! Just checked the latest forecast, and we might get a reprieve from the rain until late that afternoon! Figures, doesn't it.............haven't seen a drop of rain in 8 weeks, and then the competition comes and all Hell breaks loose! Just a side note..............this farkin' rain originated in Texas and MoFo country!!!!! 8) I think it's a conspiracy!

Man, that was tight!

Congrats to you Kevin. I was wondering how things were going right about 5 pm.

Next weekend's another shootout at Crestview for you guys.

Tim and I will be at the KCBS contest in Mobile, AL.

Thanks Dave,

It was an interesting contest. Major rain Friday night, but it held off today until after awards. Anyway, it was a pleasure meeting Jeff. I think he had a good time.

The little birdie I refered to earlier was the FBA website.
http://www.flbbq.org/main.htm
I checked it about 7:45 and the results were posted allready
Awesome speed from the FBA (Ricky I think does the website).
I was saving the good news for Kevin to post

Kevin and Clara--congrats for sure.

Kevin and Clara are now 2nd in the Florida Team of the Year chase.
They are hunting down Woodhouse for the title (would be third year in a row!).
Woodhouse has really come into their own this year and make the judges "real happy". They have won 3 Grands and 1 Reserve in the first 4 events of the season.

The team "Smoking Permitted" is a nice husband wife team who came over to FBA from MIM a couple of years ago. They placed top 5 in 2 meats today!
I think they are still part time and privately funded, but starting to drag in some awards.
Great People with an invitation out to join us also.

Tough Circuit--and HomeBBQ is as tough and talented as they come :D
Great Job Kevin and Clara.
